WestExec Advisors, LLC advises companies on geopolitical risk and emerging opportunities

Washington, DC – WestExec Advisors, a Washington, DC-based global strategic advisory firm, is pleased to welcome three new Senior Advisors to the team: Danny RusselJamie Smith, and Colin Thomas-Jensen.

Danny  is the former Assistant Secretary of State for Asian and Pacific Affairs and former Special Assistant to the President and National Security Council Senior Director for Asian Affairs. Danny will advise WestExec’s growing list of clients who do business and invest in Asia. In addition to being a Senior Advisor at WestExec, Danny is currently Vice President for International Security and Diplomacy at the Asia Society Policy Institute in New York.

Jamie is the former Deputy White House Press Secretary and Director of Public Affairs for the Office of the Director of National Intelligence. Jamie has also held senior communications positions at Edelman Worldwide, in the United States Senate, and on political campaigns, and she was also Global Chief Communications Officer at the Bitfury Group and CEO of the Global Blockchain Business Council. Jamie will help WestExec clients communicate on core business and technology issues. In addition to being a Senior Advisor at WestExec, Jamie is Chief Marketing Officer for the Linux Foundation.

Colin is a former Senior Policy Advisor to U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Samantha Power on Africa. Colin will support clients seeking new opportunities in Africa and provide companies an advantage in navigating the continent. In addition to being a Senior Advisor at WestExec, Colin is a fellow in New America’s International Security Program.
